Baelo Claudia is about 20km outside of Tarifa and totally worth the visit: remarkable Roman ruins, including amphitheatre and garum-making pits, on a gorgeous stretch of beach. (Sorry for the unsolicited advice, but it’s one of my favourite places in Spain and I can’t help myself!)
